Lung Function Testing (Pulmonary function testing)

A lung (pulmonary) function test involves a series of tests that provide information about the amount of air a person's lungs can hold and how effectively the lungs work.

Patients with PH often have normal airways and usually show only a mild restriction or obstruction in air movement in the lungs if any.

By comparing the patient’s results with those of healthy people of the same age and height the doctor can tell if the patient’s airways are narrower or less effective than normal.
